Why Work With Me

Expert
Care.

I’m a licensed clinical psychologist board certified by the American Board of Professional Psychology (ABPP) in Behavioral and Cognitive Psychology. I received my Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the University of California, Los Angeles, where my research and state-of-the-art clinical training focused on emotion-related disorders, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance use, with additional training through UCLA’s Anxiety & Depression Research Center. I completed my APA-accredited internship at the VA San Diego Healthcare System, with rotations in the La Jolla Post-traumatic Stress Clinic and the Alcohol and Drug Treatment Program.

I have published peer-reviewed research and contributed to evidence-based psychotherapy texts in these areas. My work has been supported by competitive grants and recognized through awards from the National Science Foundation and leading professional organizations.

Prior to moving fully into private practice, I led several programs at UCLA’s Screening and Treatment for Anxiety & Depression Clinic (STAND) and contributed to research projects associated with UCLA’s Depression Grand Challenge. From 2020 to 2023, I served as an Assistant Professor of Psychology at California State University, Dominguez Hills. I currently serve as a Clinical Instructor at UCLA’s Psychology Clinic, where I supervise doctoral candidates.

Personalized
Approach.

Every individual has unique experiences, needs, and goals. While evidence-based, manualized treatments are well-supported by research, they are not one-size-fits-all. I tailor these approaches to your specific concerns and circumstances to provide care that is both individualized and responsive, while remaining rooted in science.

Selective
Caseload.

I maintain a selective caseload to ensure each client receives focused attention and a high level of care. This allows me to dedicate the time needed to understand your needs and provide thoughtful, individualized support.

Flexible
Scheduling.

Life can be unpredictable and demanding. Your mental health is a priority, and I want to ensure that you can access the support you need, when you need it. By providing flexible scheduling options, I can accommodate your busy lifestyle, making it easier for you to prioritize your well-being without added stress.
